About Mohamed Shafeeq Karinkurayil

Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq Karinkurayil teaches at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. His PhD was in Cultural Studies from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, India. His work focuses on the Gulf migration experience in the south Indian state of Kerala. He is the author of The Gulf Migrant Archives in Kerala: Reading Borders and Belonging (Oxford UP, 2024). His works have appeared in various journals and anthologies. At present he is working towards a digital archive of the Gulf migration experience.
