About Burak Yalim

Burak Yalım is a researcher in International Relations and Migration Studies. Holding a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in International Relations, his master's thesis explored the "Collapse of Yugoslavia and Its Effects on International Politics." He is currently advancing his Ph.D. in Migration Studies, focusing on "Transnationalism Debate: Turks in the United Arab Emirates." His research contributions include peer-reviewed articles on labor migration and self-determination, alongside presenting at international forums on topics like labor law reforms in the UAE and diasporas as development agents. Yalım also serves as an editor for the Journal of International Relations and Political Science Studies, evidencing his commitment to enriching the academic discourse on global conflicts and migration. He is the founder and president of the International Relations Studies Association – TUIC.
